Some Dog Choices For Your Apartment Lifestyle
Many dogs adapt well to apartment living, but this is largely dependent upon your pet’s exercise regimen. To thrive and be happy most dogs need daily walks and playtime, and some more vigorous forms of exercise to suit their breeds and personality-types. Most breeds are, by their very nature, inclined to wander.
To create the best environment for your best friend, he needs your help to use his energy, both physical and mental, in the best way possible for a balanced life.
The time you spend together as walking, jogging, or running/biking companions, is time well spent for your relationship. If you are not physically able to walk your dog in any of these ways, perhaps other family members, friends, or even professionals can act as your surrogate.
As pet owners who truly love their furry friends, two of the best things we can do for them are to: be a true leader and provide sufficient exercise to keep them fit, happy and stable. Every day they thank us for understanding their needs and being there for them. Walking your dog on a lead so he can easily obey his “heel” command is in everyone’s best interests.
