Congratulations to our Pet
Photo Contest Winner

Heather H. has won a ramp with cube (choice of beige,
grey, navy blue or deep ivy green) for this photo of her Cocker, named Brutus
and the story below.
Hello,
Attached is a picture of my Cocker, named Brutus. Brutus is 11 years old, and he
is my first dog. I got him as a puppy, and I could never ask for a sweeter more
loving dog. He loves to snuggle in the bed with me at night, and love to lay on
my lap.
Recently, my Brutus had double leg surgery. He was jumping up some stairs on the
side of our house and yelped really loud. I ran outside and saw him laying down,
I lifted him up immediately moved my hands around his body, wondering what made
him cry. He tried to walk and had a bad limp, I immediately called the vet. They
had me schedule and appt for the next day, and when I went in, the vet had said,
most likely it was a sprain and gave him anti inflammatory drugs. They told me
to bring him back in two weeks if he was not getting any better. As the two week
were going by, Brutus would cry when every he tried to walk. I took him back in
and the Dr, had done some x rays and they saw that he tore his ACL. They gave me
several surgeons to contact, I finally got an appointment and took him in. After
the tests they determined not only did her tear his ACL, but he had also
dislocated hip on his other leg. I could help by cry with how strong of a dog
Brutus is. He really did his best with all of the pain both legs gave him. Being
11 years old, Brutus is still young at heart. The bill came to be about
$6000.00, but it didn’t matter, I could not put a price on my boy.
I am also very thankful that I could pay for the surgery. I couldn’t imagine my
life without him.
and has to be lifted up to be with me. He isn’t that light, and he likes to get
up and down off the couch and bed as he pleases. I am currently trying to help
him get his strength back and have been looking for some stairs, so he can get
up on my bed with me. I came upon your site, and though that you had a great
ramp.
That is my Brutus’s story.
Thank you,
Heather H.
