Accent On Wee –Wee Offenders

There are products out there made available through pet stores and other suppliers, many promising to erase the tell-tale odor of a pet’s urine on a bed or carpets (small pets are more inclined to have these accidents, with bladders that are able to hold only a small volume of liquid). Of course, dogs of all sizes have their mishaps, as well, especially if there is an underlying health issue contributing to the problem.

 Some of these products are nominally effective; others do little to solve the problem for pet owners. To make matters worse, many pet parents are either allergic to the chemical substances used in some of these products, or highly sensitive to them. This a major issue where beds and bedding are concerned.

For this reason alone, it is worth exploring any natural options that could prove beneficial. For owners of small dogs, who have their furry friends join them regularly under the covers, over the covers and pretty much everywhere on their beds, I am happy to say that genuine help is on the way to a bed near you, in the form of distilled white vinegar. In a spray bottle, in my house, it has no equal. It is always ready to zoom in on any soiled areas of bed linens. This absolutely works!

 In my case, I have had to extend my spraying area to include the pet ramps and dog stairs used up against the side of my bed for easy access by my two dogs. Once the offending areas have been carefully sprayed, all traces of urine are no more, so there is no attraction to re-offend in those places that have been treated with this simple, inexpensive formula.

 It is nature’s little miracle stain and scent remover. And I have not suffered at all from any chemical effects to my system. Who would think an inexpensive solution such as this could be the answer for so many pet owners, plagued too long with this persistent issue? I am a “believer”.
